The game's banner
Everything Ends in Pizza is a mobile game, developed by AGL Dev Team and published on Google Play.
The game features two modes. The main mode consists of an infinite runner, where the player must dodge incoming obstacles and opponents to get a highscore and compete with other players through the leaderboards. The mini-game mode consists of several different mini-games, where the goal is also to get a highscore and compete with other players.
Everything Ends in Pizza is a game that was developed as the undergraduate thesis for my higher vocational education in Digital Games degree at PUC-Campinas (Superior de Tecnologia em Jogos Digitais), in 2019. The game was developed by a group of three people - AGL Dev Team - where the acronym AGL stands for the initials of the group's members. The project was a huge success and got the maximum grade for being very well documented and executed, receiving high commendations from the professors.
The game was developed using the Unity Engine.
I operated as the lead programmer with focus on the Main Mode and the Main Menu alongside other important game mechanics and creating multiple additional assets for the game.
The project development curve wasn't as straight as initially planned. However, the team was able to overcome difficulties by maintaining good communiction and unity. In conclusion, we've reached a favorable result with the resources available at the time.
A lot of knowledge was acquired during the project, ranging from game design and programming to publishing apps and incorporating third-party APIs into the game, such as IAPs and the Google Play Services.
